Hawaii Car Accidents

Car accidents in the United States pose a serious problem for individuals, families, and entire communities. These crashes, at the rate that they are occurring, require continuous efforts to reduce their frequency and severity. There are an estimated 6.5 million annual car crashes in the United States, or about 17,800 per day. Unfortunately, over 7,600 people sustain injuries in these crashes daily, and over 100 are killed.

For example, in 2021, 39,508 fatal accidents were reported that took the lives of over 42,939 people. These accidents can happen for countless reasons however, these top three are the most common:

  • Distraction: information provided by the American automobile association‘s traffic safety division reports that between 25 to 50% of all reported accidents are caused solely by driver distraction.
  • Drunk driving: the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says drunk drivers cause approximately 32% of all fatalities related to car crashes. The only prevention for these accidents is to avoid drinking and driving.
  • Speeding: one of the deadliest contributing factors to car crashes in the United States, speeding reduces reaction times and ability, increases the risk of becoming involved in an accident, and magnifies the severity of any crash that occurs.

In the event that you or a loved one of yours has been hurt in a crash caused by any of these three factors, or another form of driver negligence, you should contact a car accident attorney in Hawaii who can help you recover. Car crash lawyers are experts at helping crash victims get financial compensation and justice during these difficult times. There is nothing easy or simple about being hurt in a car crash, therefore, there is nothing easy or simple about filing a personal injury claim for compensation. That is why it is vital to have the help of a skilled legal advocate in your corner so you can get the compensation you deserve after you were hurt by driver negligence.

Insurance companies know how difficult the process is to get the compensation you deserve and will do everything in their power to reduce your settlement amount or fully deny it. A car accident attorney will aggressively negotiate a fair settlement from the insurance company so you can recover without having to worry about money.

Call the law office of Leavitt, Yamane, & Soldner to speak with a passionate attorney who knows what it takes to get you the compensation you need. We work on contingency, which means that you owe us nothing unless you collect financial compensation for the losses and damages you face.
