Waimalu, HI (June 17, 2023) - On the evening of June 16, a serious car accident was reported to the police in Waimalu. Reports were made to authorities at around 9:48 p.m. 

Sources say the crash happened on the H1 West Freeway near the Waimalu Exit when vehicles collided in the area. One or more individuals suffered injuries in the collision, however, the extent of their injuries has not been reported. 

Several responders were seen at the crash site helping the individuals involved in the wreck. At least one person was in need of transportation to the hospital. 

At this time, the victims have not been identified to the public. Authorities in Waimalu continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
