North Kona, HI (April 7, 2023) - A car crash turned fatal in North Kona on the afternoon of April 4. At around 3:00 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident in North Kona.
Sources say the collision occurred in North Kona on Kaiminani Drive near Kaila Place when two vehicles collided for reasons still being investigated. One of the involved vehicles rolled over, according to reports.
At least one person lost their life in the crash. However, no one involved has been identified at this time.
Kaiminani Drive was closed between Koikoi and Ala Kaupua Streets while emergency crews worked in the area.
