Pedestrian accidents are some of the most dangerous types of traffic accidents that can happen. The fact that pedestrians travel totally unprotected against the force of fast, heavy, moving vehicles puts them at serious risk of sustaining severe injuries or even losing their lives. Sadly, more than 6000 pedestrians are killed annually in the United States due to car crashes alarmingly. The majority of these collisions are caused by the actions of negligent drivers.
Driver negligence has become a serious issue throughout the United States in the past decade. For example, over 11,000 people lose their lives every year due to speeding, and there are more than 400,000 vehicle accidents reported annually due to the actions of distracted drivers. When you or someone you love has been hurt by a distracted driver, you need to speak with a car crash lawyer as soon as you can. A pedestrian accident attorney in Honolulu can help you determine whether or not you qualify for financial compensation. They will also help you gather that compensation so you can get your life back on track as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
Being involved in a serious pedestrian accident is no joke. You may be stuck in the hospital for a prolonged period of time while you attempt to recover from your injuries. Not only is this stressful due to not being able to see your family as much as you might like and not being able to go back to work immediately, but it can also cost a lot of money. If you are unable to work, paying for the costs related to your crash can seem overwhelming. However, if you know that your accident was not your fault, a car accident attorney can help you get the money you need to cover these costs.
