Honolulu Tourist Accidents

Hawaii is one of the most popular tourist locations in the United States. The beautiful weather and landscape make for a fantastic getaway from normal day-to-day life. Additionally, locals and tourists alike are able to benefit from relaxation, rest, and a plethora of different activities to try.

Sadly, there are numerous guided tour leaders and group activity operators who act negligently while implementing the mandatory measures required for the safety of their participants. It is not uncommon for the equipment they use to have been poorly maintained and for their staff to have less training than what is required.

There are a lot of risky activities in Hawaii that require the supervision and assistance of people who are experienced. Some of these include jet skiing, ziplining, scuba diving, boating, parasailing, cliff jumping, and more. If you or someone you love were injured on a guided tour or organized group activity, you may qualify for financial compensation for a wide array of aspects related to your injuries.

Unfortunately, tour operators often attempt to place the blame on their patrons when patrons were injured under their supervision. Accident reports completed by managers, owners, or their staff usually draft a false narrative that does not reflect the true events that took place during the incident.

Tour operators attempt to do this to save their company from any/all liability. If you were hurt while taking part in an organized group activity or guided tour, you may be eligible to pursue compensation.

At Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner, our Hawaii recreational injury attorneys will thoroughly investigate the details of your accident and figure out whether negligence displayed by the tour operator played a part in your injuries.

Most corporations that manage group recreational activities require their patrons to sign a waiver before participating in their activity. This is to save them from responsibility if anything bad happens. The idea that signing a waiver keeps an injured victim from filing a personal injury or wrongful death claim is untrue. A waiver only protects against inherent dangers related to the fully disclosed activity at hand.

Our personal injury attorneys in Hawaii can go over your signed waiver and its entire contents and determine the range of its validity. Contact our Honolulu vacation accident attorneys at (808) 537-2525 if you believe you may be eligible for financial compensation for the losses and damages you face.
