Being injured in an auto accident can be painful and scary. An experience of this nature is not something anyone wants to go through. People who are hurt in car crashes can suffer for days, weeks, or even months after their collisions. Pedestrians are often more severely injured than other people who may be hurt in car accidents. This is due to the fact that while they travel, pedestrians are basically unprotected against the force of large, fast-moving vehicles.
Depending on the nature of their injuries, those who are hurt in car crashes may need to stay in the hospital for weeks or longer. They may need to endure extensive medical care and possibly surgery in order to make a full recovery. An experience like this can be expensive, exhausting, and time-consuming.
