Maui, HI (June 7, 2023) - One person reportedly lost their life in a fatal pedestrian crash in Maui. The incident happened on the afternoon of June 6 at around 2:30 p.m. 

Reports from authorities show the collision happened on the Honoapi’ilani Highway near Cut Mountain when an e-bike and a vehicle collided. A nurse stopped at the scene to render CPR to the victim. 

Sadly, the injured victim lost their life due to the injuries they sustained in the collision. The highway was closed by the Maui Police Department for some time on Tuesday afternoon. 

The victim has not been identified at this time as police continue to investigate. Several responders remained at the crash site for an extended time period, resulting in substantial delays in traffic.
