Waimalu, HI - Auto Accident on H1 W near H1/H2 Merge Ends in Injuries

Waimalu, HI (June 10, 2023) - A serious car accident happened in Waimalu on the evening of June 9 that required an emergency dispatch. At approximately 9:43 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the crash site to help the people involved and investigate the details of the crash. 

Sources report the wreck occurred on H1 West near the H1/H2 Merge. At least one individual suffered injuries in the crash and required emergency transport to the hospital. 

Those involved in the collision have not been identified to the public at this time. Authorities in Waimalu are still working to determine the cause of the incident. 

Traffic was slowed near Aiea on H1 West while emergency responders worked to secure the scene. Local drivers were forced to find alternate routes for the time being.
